When You Arrive at West Madison Dental
When you arrive at your first appointment at West Madison Dental, our warm and friendly receptionist will welcome you and ask about your day. Our goal is to see patients on time, every time, but occasionally, you may have a brief wait.
Your First Dental Cleaning
One of our amazing hygienists will walk you back to your treatment room and get you settled comfortably. Most of our patients want a dental cleaning during their first visit, which is our standard procedure. Your dental hygienist will take your medical and dental history, take x-rays, and check your gums for signs of periodontal disease.
Dr. Henninger or Dr. Morey will introduce themselves and review the information gathered by your hygienist. They will then discuss any areas of concern with you and explain your treatment options.
Should you come to us as a new patient with a dental emergency, we'll take x-rays and perform an examination. If you require a simple procedure, we may be able to complete treatment that day. However, if treatment is complicated or the schedule doesn't allow for same-day treatment, we will promptly schedule you back for treatment.
