Services We Offer

Restorative Dentistry Services We Offer

When teeth are decayed, broken, infected, or missing, restorative care can help you eat, speak, and smile with greater comfort. We offer fillings, bonding, crowns, bridges, implants, and full-mouth reconstruction to support your oral health.
When multiple dental problems affect your bite or confidence, full-mouth reconstruction combines restorative treatments to help you regain comfortable function and a smile that feels like yours.
Damaged or missing teeth can make daily meals harder; dental crowns and bridges help restore chewing function while rebuilding a complete, natural-looking smile.

Dental Bonding

For chipped or misshapen teeth, dental bonding can improve your smile’s appearance with a conservative restoration designed to look natural.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings can repair decay while preserving a more natural appearance, helping you bite comfortably and smile without drawing attention to the restoration.

Restoring damaged or missing teeth

What Is Restorative Dentistry?

Restorative dentistry repairs teeth damaged by decay, injury, or wear, and replaces teeth that are missing altogether. Depending on what the tooth needs, that might mean a filling, bonding, a crown, a bridge, or a dental implant. When several teeth are involved, full-mouth reconstruction combines restorative and cosmetic treatment under one coordinated plan. The majority of this work happens in our office, designed and produced by our own team rather than sent to an outside lab.

Restore Your Everyday Freedom

Benefits of Restorative Dentistry

When damage, decay, infection, or tooth loss changes how you experience your smile, restorative dentistry can help you move forward with a plan built around your needs. You gain a clearer path toward renewed function and oral health, while compassionate guidance makes each decision feel more manageable and personal.
Return To Comfortable Meals
When damaged or missing teeth make eating feel limited, restored function can help you enjoy meals with less hesitation. You may spend less time avoiding certain foods and more time sharing relaxed conversations around the table.
Visible damage can make you cover your mouth or hold back in photos. Restorative care can help you feel more comfortable showing your smile at work, during family moments, and in everyday conversations.
A gap or weakened tooth can place extra demand on the teeth around it. Restoring your smile helps support a more balanced bite and may reduce the strain that makes daily chewing harder.
Damaged teeth can create areas that are difficult to clean well. Once your smile is restored, your daily brushing and flossing routine may feel more practical, helping you support healthier teeth and gums over time.
Unresolved dental problems can leave you wondering what will happen next. A thoughtful restorative plan gives you clearer direction, so you can replace uncertainty with informed choices and steady progress toward a healthier smile.
Your mouth is the gateway to your body, so caring for damaged or missing teeth supports more than appearance alone. Restorative dentistry fits our complete health dentistry approach that connects oral wellness with your broader health goals.

Restore Damaged Teeth to Full Function and Lasting Oral Health

What to expect

How We Repair Damaged Teeth

Restorative dentistry can feel more manageable when you know what to expect. We listen to your concerns, explain your options clearly, and help you feel prepared for care that supports damaged, decayed, infected, or missing teeth.
1

Start with a Clear Plan

Your concerns guide the first conversation as we review your oral health and the areas affecting your comfort, function, or smile. Digital x-rays and sensors may provide a closer look when needed. You have time to ask questions, share concerns, and understand your options in our judgment-free zone.
2

Restore Your Smile

Depending on your needs, care may include tooth-colored fillings, bonding, crowns, bridges, dental implants, or full-mouth reconstruction. Local anesthetics support your comfort during procedures, while nitrous oxide or oral conscious sedation may help you relax when dental anxiety is part of your experience.
3

Return to Everyday Moments

After your planned care, we review how to care for your restorations and support your ongoing oral health. You leave with teeth that are repaired or replaced according to your needs, helping you feel more at ease while eating, speaking, and sharing your smile.

A Stronger Smile Ahead

When Restorative Treatment Makes Sense

Damage does not resolve on its own, and waiting usually means a larger repair later. The sooner it is addressed, the more of your natural tooth we can save.

A Tooth That Has Broken or Decayed

Cracks and cavities compromise the structure of a tooth. Depending on how much healthy tooth remains, the repair might be a filling, a crown, or something in between. The sooner it is addressed, the more of your natural tooth we can keep.

Old Dentistry That Has Failed

Fillings and crowns do not last forever. When an older restoration cracks, leaks, or comes loose, replacing it protects the tooth underneath from decay that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Teeth That Are Already Missing

A gap changes how your bite distributes force, and the surrounding teeth tend to shift. Bridges and implants restore that structure and keep the rest of your mouth from compensating.

Does This Sound Like You?

Questioning whether you qualify is normal, especially when your dental history feels complicated. We listen before recommending care, so you can understand your options and move forward with a plan shaped around your health, comfort, and goals.

Patient FAQs

Restorative Dentistry FAQs

Restorative dentistry can raise questions about treatment choices, comfort, timing, and cost. We explain your options in plain language and create care around your needs, whether you have a damaged, decayed, broken, infected, or missing tooth.

What is Restorative Dentistry?

Restorative dentistry repairs or replaces damaged, decayed, infected, or missing teeth. Depending on your needs, we may recommend tooth-colored fillings, bonding, crowns, bridges, dental implants, or full-mouth reconstruction. Our goal is to support your oral health, bite, and daily function.
Your treatment depends on the tooth’s condition, your overall oral health, and your goals. We review the available options with you, then explain what each one involves. Care may range from a filling or bonding to a crown, bridge, implant, or broader reconstruction.
You can share concerns about sensitivity or anxiety before treatment begins. We use potent local anesthetics for procedures such as root canals and extractions, and nitrous oxide or oral conscious sedation may help you relax when appropriate. Dr. Henninger and our team offer kind, understanding support.
Treatment time varies based on the number and type of restorations you need. Some restorations can be completed in our office while you wait comfortably in your treatment room, including CEREC same-day crowns and bridges. We will explain the expected sequence before care begins.
If you have a decayed, broken, infected, or missing tooth, restorative care may be appropriate. We consider your oral health, the condition of each tooth, and your goals before recommending treatment. Gum concerns or other needs may be addressed as part of the plan.
The right alternative depends on what is happening with your tooth. In some cases, a filling or bonding may preserve more tooth structure than a crown. Missing teeth may be replaced with an implant, bridge, or full-arch solution. We review suitable choices with you.
Cost depends on the services included in your care plan, such as fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, or reconstruction. We review recommended treatment, available coverage, and payment options with you before proceeding. Our team will answer questions so you can plan with clear information.
Care starts with daily brushing and flossing, along with routine dental exams and cleanings. We will explain any instructions specific to your restoration. Regular preventive visits help us monitor your teeth, gums, and restorations while supporting your ongoing oral health.
Yes, replacing missing teeth is part of Restorative Dentistry. Depending on your needs, we offer dental implants, implant bridges, traditional dental bridges, and All-on-X full-arch solutions. Replacing a missing tooth sooner rather than later can help you move toward a more complete smile.
We use modern technology to plan and create restorations, including digital x-rays and sensors for detailed images. CEREC allows us to make some crowns and bridges in our office the same day. For implants, digital planning and 3D imaging help guide treatment.

Tiffany, my hygienist, gave me hands down the best cleaning I’ve had in my life, thorough, careful, and genuinely pleasant to be around the whole time. She clearly takes pride in her work.Dr. Andrew Henninger is equally impressive. He’s extremely thorough and does a great job using modern technology without leaning on it as a crutch, he still does the hands-on evaluation and explains what he’s seeing. That combination is rare and it builds a lot of trust.Highly recommend this practice to anyone in the North Alabama area looking for a dentist who does it right. Entire staff is outstanding!
